This is the stuff of which epic poems are made. This variant of the Ally Gift (Ironclaw p. 70) introduces a special kind of companion. Octopodes who spend a lot of time on dry land often invest in this Gift.

Your character has an Akhal-Teke as a full-fledged minor character. It now has a Mind Trait of d4 and may be designated as the beneficiary of the Improved Ally Gift. It can’t speak, but it can communicate with you (and only you) in some idiosyncratic way.

You and the Game Host should negotiate who is responsible for your mount’s actions. We assume that you, the player, will decide what the mount does in combat, but you may prefer to have the Game Host or another player decide what it does so that you don’t feel like you’re talking to yourself.
