If you roll one 1, before you invoke favor’s re-roll, you may also claim a bonus d12.

Extra 12 When Using Favorite by Rote
If you use your Skill of Choice by rote, and you’re performing your Favorite Use, you may claim a bonus
12. This bonus 12 is just like a die that always comes up 12 (basically, a maximized d12).
This extra 12 will usually score a bonus success, which will then be will be added to the others, then halved, just like any rote
