Effect Description
Improved Action “draw item: sleight of hand”
For you, stealing an object is not a stunt, but a simple “draw” action.
Improved Action “draw item: concealed weapon”
For you, drawing a concealed weapon is no longer a stunt, but a simple “draw weapon” action.
New action “attack: pick pocket”
You can attempt to pick someone’s pocket of a random item. Treat an attempt to pick someone’s pocket as an attack. (It’s really best to pick the pocket of someone who’s disadvantaged!) At Close Range, roll your Speed & Deceit vs. the target’s Mind & Observation. If the target is aware of you, they may attempt to Counter. If the target is actively in combat, whether they know you’re there or not, they may elect to Dodge.
Unlike a regular attack, you cannot claim a combat advantage bonus … in fact, if you don’t have combat advantage, your attack is limited to d8s or smaller.
If you Succeed, you get a random item from the person’s pockets, purse, satchel, or what have you, provided that it’s a small item easily purloined. In addition, your target is not sent Reeling – they probably don’t even know you got something.
