Stunt: “locate a target using synecdoche” You must have a synecdoche link to the target. Exhaust this Gift.
Roll your Mind, Academics, and Searching dice vs. 3. You may claim the following bonuses:
bonus d12 from Geography
bonus d12 if the subject is in a landscape covered by your Local Knowledge. (Roll this die separately, in case it’s in doubt that the target is in the landscape.)
If the target has any Supernatural Dice, the Game Host rolls those vs. 5. Each success removes one of yours.
One success will tell you the direction to that subject, if they are within Long range. If that subject is within Medium range, the spell tells you the distance, as well.
Two successes will tell you the direction, if that subject is within Extreme range.
Three successes will tell you the direction, if that subject is within the bounds of the Horizon.
Four successes will tell you the direction regardless of how far away the target is.
If your spell successfully points you in the right direction, refresh this Gift immediately. If you fail to score enough successes to find the target, exhaust this Gift.
You may refresh this Gift at the next Respite
