Action “stunt: mark territory”
As a stunt, you can make a territorial mark, using natural means such as by scratching something with your claws, digging the ground to make a form, or by applying special spoors.
If you make your mark inside your Species’ Habitat, it lasts for a month and anyone within Medium Range of your mark with a Species Trait less than yours suffers a penalty equal to your Species Trait on all rolls.
If you make your mark outside of your Species Habitat, it lasts for a week and anyone within Short Range of your mark with a Species Trait less than yours suffers a penalty equal to your Species Trait on all rolls.
This penalty lasts until the target is Rallied or until they leave range of your mark. (Note that anyone who would Rally the target might suffer the penalty from your mark!) A single mark can only affect a target once.
When you make the mark, you may also add on an extra simple message with the mark, such as “A great evil happened here”, “I will come by this place again”, “Next time, send better warriors”, etc. The message should be very simple, something an animal could communicate — the Game Host should use their discretion. Anyone with the Gift of Keen Nose and the same Species Habitat as you will discer your mark within Medium range, and they will understand your message
