Trigger: you are targeted by a Magic attack
Instead of using your regular defense against a magic spell, you may declare you will use Reflection. You must declare Reflection as soon as the spell is launched and you’re a target.
Exhaust this Gift. Roll your Mind & Supernatural as your defense.
If you succeed in defeating the Magic attack, the original spell-caster suffers a brutal Counter-Attack – identical to the spell they just used! Substitute your dice for the attacker’s roll.
If the attack was a Group, Crowd, or Explosion, then everyone is saved, as the spell goes right back to the attacker. Regardless of the reflected spell’s original scope, only the attacker is hit by the Reflection. Use your successes to determine damage, if any.
If you tie on your Reflection roll, then you (and everyone else) are still targeted as normal … but the spell also reflects back to strike the attacker (alone). Again, use your successes to determine damage to your attacker.
If you fail on your Reflection roll, you (and everyone else) are attacked, as normal.
Notes
The Reflection spell may reflect any spell that you are aware of. Since the Reflection spell may reflect a Synecdoche spell, it has the “Synecdoche” descriptor; since it automatically finds your attacker, it has the “Locating” descriptor.
