Action “stunt: salmon leap”
Just as salmon can swim up a waterfall, you can leap great distances.
As a stunt, declare a point that you will leap to. This point cannot be further than Medium range (36 paces) away. Next, exhaust this Gift.
Third, move up to your Dash in a straight line. You must move at least 1 pace, in the direction of your landing point. Fourth, roll your Body and Jumping dice, and note the score.
Last, roll your Sprint Dice, and add that score to the roll you just made. This total is your salmon leap.
The salmon leap is the distance you move along the ground. Just like its namesake, the salmon leap is a jump through the air, so you do not touch the ground beneath you.
You may sacrifice 2 paces of salmon leap to gain 1 pace of altitude. Your salmon leap can take you very high up.
You may sacrifice 1 pace of salmon leap to lower your height by one pace. Your salmon leap can take you very far down.
If your salmon leap overshoots your target, you must sacrifice forward movement for altitude. If you smack into a ceiling or other barrier, your movement stops at the point where you hit the barrier, and you fall to the ground, Knocked Down.
If your landing spot is below you, and your salmon leap distance can reach it, you do not take falling damage. (If your salmon leap isn’t long enough to reach the low ground, however, you will take falling damage.)
