Trigger: failed Counter or Parry with Shield, or failed Dodge with Cover Dice from Shield
You may use this ability after failing any defense that claimed a Cover bonus from your shield, after you have rolled your Soak dice. (Also, you may use this abilty with a buckler, the shield that can counter.)
Negate all Unconscious, Dying, Dead, and Overkilled results just inflicted on you from the attack that just hit you.
If you are using a wooden shield, the shield smashes into splinters and is instantly destroyed. If you are using a metal shield, the shield is still useable.
If you have no shield, you cannot use this abilit
