Stunt “Reason with the Dead”
You may take the Reason action to talk with a corpse. Roll your Will, Negotiation, & 2d6 vs. 3d6. The soul of the corpse must not have passed on to its final reward, and the body must not have been consecrated. To hear you, the head must have an intact ear; to answer you, the head must have an intact mouth.
Everything else isn’t really necessary.
If you are successful, the restless spirit inhabits the corpse. The eyes open and the mouth speaks.
Spirits of bodies that met violent deaths might be disoriented or in denial about what has happened to them.
The corpse can speak with anyone present. (It’s best to take the body somewhere private.) Being beyond earthly concerns, it may be difficult to motivate the spirit to talk, so some serious negotiations may be in order.
After five minutes, the spell ends. You may speak with the corpse at a later time, if the soul doesn’t pass on.
