Effect Description
Action “melee attack (springing strike)”
You have a special attack – the Springing Strike.
First, declare a brawling attack or a melee attack against a target. If you tie or lose the attack, play out the effects as normal – the springing strike has no additional effects
If you win the attack, play out the effects as normal, and then immediately roll your Sprint Dice. You must move that many paces, directly away from your target, in a straight line.
Notes
Since you may voluntarily lower your Speed, you may declare you will roll a smaller die. For example, if your Sprint die is d8, you may declare that your springing strike will use a d6 or a d4.
Unlike a true sprint, you must move exactly that many paces away from your melee attack’s target – you can’t modify the distance with your Stride.
Yes, you may press the attack and then spring away
