Description
Perhaps not as proud nor ferocious as your average wolf, nor as charismatic and burnished as a fox, and maybe not as clever as a coyote nor as calculating as a jackal, the Dholes are amiable dogs, squarely middling; and in that they excel. Jolly evening gatherings and spontaneous feasts are common among them, and a Dhole wedding is a spectacle of good cheer and rustic splendor. They tend to be boisterous, rowdy and to talk with their hands.
Dholes exhibit great faith in higher forces; most attend church regularly and are superstitious. Demonstrations of power or intellect impress them greatly, as does oratory; a dhole in the crowd is a performer's best friend. They aren't particularly ambitious people, content to work enough to pay for drink and drink enough to make work bearable.
They make excellent companions, pages, assistants, seconds-in-command, squires, barkeeps and so on.
