Description

Pity the poor, misunderstood Donkey. He works tirelessly for his dinner, he never complains, and still he is the subject of many jokes, the target of many insults.

Perhaps it's because many Donkeys are resigned to their lot in life as the working class that they get the short end of the stick.

Donkeys do gravitate towards professions that involve working long hours with great physical demands, such as day-laborer, sailor, farmer, or soldier.
