Description
Goats are often characterized as stubborn, ornery misanthropes that are unimpressed with any ambition beyond what is necessary, including social achievements. Why seek a thousand friends when two will do? And this is particularly true when those friends are a sturdy pair of hands. Goats are independent, observant and thoughtful, often self-sufficient or self-employed in occupations that do not require excessive socializing (such as farmers, prospectors, mountain guides or trackers).
In more urban settings, the goat has no choice but to be around others, but tends to take on roles that afford some measure of solitude; the janitor, the gravedigger, the court executioner or shadowy assassin.
